Position: Marketing and Development Coordinator

Hours: Full-time. Schedule includes overtime, as well as regular evenings and weekends.

Wages: $35,000 – $40,000, with health benefits.



Assist with the development and management of the annual fiscal budget, manage all paper and electronic files associated with work performed in this role, and prepare monthly reports to be presented to the Board of Directors detailing work performed.

Marketing and Development

Assist in achieving the fundraising and awareness goals of the Museum by implementing and executing strategy on marketing, individual giving, corporate sponsorships, and organizational grants.

Grant Writing

Developing and implementing social media marketing campaigns to bring awareness and donors to the Museum; researching funding opportunities and developing new relationships; and researching and executing grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and memorandums of understanding.

Tour Marketing and Management

Implementing on-site and outreach educational and tour programs for individuals of all ages and demographics, including: developing relationships with local and national tour companies, local interest groups, and schools to market tours and opportunities, creating marketing materials, arranging and managing group bookings, and developing programs of interest.

Program Management

Manage volunteer and intern programs, including managing all paper and electronic files associated with work performed in this role.

Volunteer Management will include: crafting volunteer roles based on museum needs, recruiting, interviewing, and training new volunteers and coordinating volunteer scheduling based upon availability and needs through effective communications.

Intern Program Development and Management will include: crafting internship roles based on needs and staff input, drafting internship descriptions, advertising and marketing available internships with local colleges and universities, interviewing candidates, orienting interns into their role, coordinating schedules based on availability and needs, overseeing the work performed and fulfilling required evaluations as necessary for completion of internship program.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
